Restaurante Toque – Federico Garcia Lorca 6, Palma.
Restaurante Torque can be found a few minutes away from the historical quarter of Palma. Fusion cooking is very much a theme here with traditional Spanish food blending with Belgian cuisine. The restaurant is noted for its duck leg with apple sauce, its excellent Beef Stroganoff and American grills. Whilst the menu changes with the seasons, pigs’ trotters, snails and rabbit are in evidence as is excellent home-made ice cream. A starter and a main course or a main and pudding can be purchased for just less than €30 and a limited lunch menu is available for under €15.

Restaurante Ca Na Percia – Lloret de Vista Alegre.
If you are a mushroom lover then this is the place to go. Morels, Boletus, Oyster and other regional specialities are served here on their own or partnered with other ingredients. Mushrooms are not the only food on offer, the glazed Iberico ham is very tempting are the salads the restaurant takes pride in presenting

Bar Nou – Calle Antoni Maura 13, Pollensa
A very popular restaurant with the locals, Bar Nou gives itself no airs and graces. It serves a variety of fresh, locally caught fish and serves up staggeringly good authentic homemade paella. If you want to dine al fresco ask the friendly waiting staff who, room permitting, will be more than happy to seat you on the terrace. Your bill will come close to €30.

Taberna De La Boveda – St Llotja, Palma
La Boveda can provide a great introduction to Spanish cuisine or reacquaint the hungry diner with some old favourites. It’s an atmospheric place where the Basque-Spanish fusion results in excellent tapas, with shellfish and snails a main feature. Prices are well within €30. If you wanted to work up an appetite you could go for a walk around the old fish market and the cathedral, both of which are close to the restaurant.

El Celler – Calle Hospital 46, Petra
In the Es Pla region of Majorca it is not uncommon to find restaurants situated in old wine or olive oil cellars. El Celler is one such restaurant. The specialism here is all kinds of meat cooked over a wood fired oven. The style is rustic, the food is as robust as you will find and infused with the flavours of this part of Spain. Try the local style bread as a starter with garlic and olives to prepare your palate for the meaty treats to come. €30 should enable you to dine in style.
